How Energy Chamber Members can assist victims of Tropical Storm Bret

The Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago is appealing to its members to assist the Living Water Community and Habitat for Humanity in their effort to provide relief for those affected by the recent passage of Storm Bret.   Following our conversations with both agencies we received the following information concerning items required by each agency.

Habitat for Humanity would also like members to share information with them on affected families/individuals who may be in need of their help.   Please contact the agencies’ representatives directly to pledge your contribution.

In the case of the Living Water Community,  in addition to offering assistance to those in need, their office on Marryat Street, San Fernando,  was damaged and they are also appealing for help in obtaining material and labour to rebuild the affected sections of their building.

About Habitat for Humanity® Trinidad and Tobago

We help people in our country transform their lives and their communities by supporting access to affordable shelter. Habitat homeowners build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage, and since 1997 hundreds of families in need of a hand up have worked with us to build or improve a place they can call home. Thousands more have benefited from shelter initiatives and training in money management, life skills, construction techniques and disaster risk reduction. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Donate! Volunteer! Share! Speak Out! Through shelter, we empower.  To learn more, visit habitat-tt.org
