Course Overview:

The TT OSH Act seeks to ensure that employers create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment. This workshop is designed for persons with leadership responsibilities to implement the Occupational Safety and Health Act (2004) of Trinidad and Tobago (OSH Act 2004 TT) within their organizations.

The purpose of this course is to give participants an in-depth knowledge, understanding and working application of all the facts of the TT OSH Act . People are exposed to all types of risks and hazards in the work place, so this course is for those who wish to understand, evaluate and apply safety principles in the workplace.

Learning Objectives:

On successful completion of this Two (2) day workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Know the requirements of the OSH Act 2004

  • Conduct a GAP Analysis

  • Explain the various risk/hazard recognition tools used in the industry

  • Discuss the steps involved in developing written Policies/Procedures

  • Work with others to develop safety program

Participants will also gain:

  • a more in-depth knowledge of TT OSH Act

  • the skill of applying a hands-on approach to compliance of the TT OSH Act
