The Energy Chamber will be hosting the 1st Guyana Safety Forum on December 6th, 2018.

The theme of the forum in 2018 will be “Building a safety culture for the new hydrocarbon industry”.

A safety culture is crucial for the development the energy sector in any nation. There are many inherent risks in the energy sector but, through a deep understanding of the risks there are pathways to safe and efficient operations. At the forum, industry leaders will share perspectives on developing a safety culture, addressing risk, safety and operational excellence and contractor management.

Objectives for the forum:

  • Discuss the role and importance of safety culture in achieving the desired HSE performance in the hydrocarbon industry
