The Joint Chambers (AMCHAM Trinidad and Tobago, Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce & the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association) are partnering with SEWA TT to help provide potable water to households in communities impacted by flooding.
Using funds donated by member companies into the Joint Chamber’s Relief Fund, the Joint Chambers have funded the procurement of portable water tanks, pumps and the necessary hoses and fittings to allow SEWA TT to distribute emergency supplies of water, with a focus on households located away from the main roads with more difficult access by heavy water trucks.
SEWA TT is working with the official disaster relief agencies to identify the households needing emergency supplies of water.
