The Honourable Stuart R. Young, MP, Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister along with Mrs. Penelope Bradshaw-Niles, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries; Ms. Sandra Fraser, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries; and Mr. Terrance Ali, Senior Chemical Engineer Ag, Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries met with Woodside Energy Executives at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries’ International Waterfront Complex Head Office, Port-of-Spain.
The Woodside Energy Executives present at the meeting were Ms. Shiva McMahon, Executive Vice President, International Operations at Woodside Energy; Mrs. Kellyanne Lochan, Country Manager, Woodside Trinidad and Tobago; Ms. Stacy Patrick, Project Director Woodside: Calypso Project; and Dr. Carla Noel-Mendez, Corporate Affairs Manager, Woodside Trinidad and Tobago.
Ms. Shiva McMahon, Executive Vice President, International Operations at Woodside Energy, gave an update on the company’s international portfolio of high-quality assets, which includes the Calypso gas development block, located in deep water, Trinidad and Tobago.
Ongoing operations at the Ruby and Angostura blocks were also discussed. As well as the incorporation of more local content into the operations at Woodside Energy Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister Young stated that in an effort to optimize the development of our hydrocarbon province, the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago remains supportive of progressing the Calypso Project and the deep-water frontier.
Ms. Shiva McMahon, also took the opportunity to congratulate the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on the successful restructuring of Atlantic LNG. Minister Young reiterated that to remain globally competitive, the government is prepared to work with all Multinationals (MNC’s) and energy stakeholders to drive investments towards the further development of hydrocarbon resources within Trinidad and Tobago.
