Caribbean organizations of civil societies from Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname and Haiti will participate in this event.

This meeting is expected to involve nearly 100 CSOs’ representatives. The topics to be discussed will include:

• Civil Society for Innovative Solutions Program: Launch of 2015 challenge and call for proposals
• Childhood obesity in the Caribbean: What’s the big deal?
• Job & Education: Skills for work and life
• Climate Change in the Caribbean: Encouraging Civil Society Involvement in Adaptation Actions
• Transparency & Accountability processes: Strengthening of the IDB Group Accountability Function

In the last five years, the IDB Group has organized forums in the Caribbean to dialogue on development issues in the region, on possibilities for partnerships among different organizations and explore potential areas for future engagement.
