The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has set a target of 10% of power generation from renewables by 2021

This workshop will explore the best electricity sector model for the future of Trinidad and Tobago by examining existing models in Malaysia, Singapore and Chile.

Understanding the experiences of countries with similar power structure to Trinidad and Tobago allows us to assess the available options for the incorporation of renewable energy into the local grid. The workshop takes a closer look at the linkages between market design, local operation and the relationships with local generators and distributors.
