Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels, or FPSOs, are offshore production facilities that house both processing equipment and storage for produced hydrocarbons.

In the region, interest in FPSOs has been growing since Exxon announced that it expects to operate three of these vessels offshore Guyana and there also exists the possibility of these types of vessels being used in the deepwater discoveries offshore Suriname.

This training course was designed to ensure that participants get a good understanding of the fundamentals of how floating petroleum storage offloading vessels operate.

The facilitator is Mr. Garth Vincent MSc. RCDM, MSc. OSHE, ISO-LI, AIIA, RSO, SIIRSM Principal Consultant/CEO Business Crisis Consultants, who has conducted this program for Health and Safety Officers attached to the Government of Guyana.
