Sheldon Daniel, Executive Coach & Strategic Communications
Sheldon Daniel is a Strategic Reputation specialist who is forging new thinking in the coaching experience, by driving and guiding companies and individuals to think differently about thorny issues in their leadership and communications.
His coaching approach involves deep listening, creative thinking, and thoughtful challenge, as he creates insight for clients through a characteristic determination to gently unearth the unsaid, unconscious and (sometimes) the uncomfortable.
His coaching method is best described as eclectic pragmatism building leadership self-awareness using psychometric tests, positive and cognitive psychology elements, and emotional intelligence. He uses a healthy blend of real-world thinking but seeks to incorporate creativity and mindfulness in co-creating unique solutions for his clients. He works with clients to drive meaningful change consistent with their values, purpose and relevant work context.
Sheldon's quest is to build extraordinary leaders who craft enduring relationships and thrive in a diverse and intellectually curious environment. He believes contemporary business leaders must be visionary, technically solid, keenly reflective, highly adaptive, excellent communicators, and responsive to external dynamics.
Sheldon is the former Director of Corporate Responsibility at the BP Group. He brings over 25 years of experience and has worked with over 35 companies - including corporate majors in energy - in strategic communications, external affairs and managing external risks.
He is accredited by the European Coaching and Mentoring Council and is a faculty member of the Meyler Campbell Coaching programme.
Sheldon has co-authored a chapter entitled 'Advanced Coaching: Coaching and Diversity', an insert in the highly regarded FT Guide to Business Coaching (2nd Edition) by Anne Scoular.
A proud product of the Caribbean, he is a digital nomad who splits his time between London, Warsaw and Trinidad.
