I am a Mechanical Engineer from UWI and commenced working for a Trinidad State enterprise called NHMC. I spent three years there and learned Hospital Design and Maintenance Management systems. I then did a MSc in Biomedical Engineering in the UK which gave me exposure to higher level technology.
Cargo Consolidators Agency Ltd, was started in 1976 by Mr. Ronald Patience. CCA started off with providing freight forwarding services to local customers for air freight imports from Miami, Florida. This was quickly followed by ocean import services.
Process Components Limited (ProCom) was established in April 1982 by four businessmen in South Trinidad. The company was managed by a dynamic team and had huge potential for growth. However, just one year after its inception, the young company experienced some financial difficulty and they decided that additional capital was needed to grow the business. An invitation was made to Laughlin and De Gannes (LDG) to invest in ProCom, to which LDG agreed. The board of LDG made a decision to purchase 40% interest in the company and in 1984, Tommy Laughlin and Keith D’Abadie, joint Managing Directors at LDG, were welcomed to the Board of Directors at ProCom. The company was located on Royal Road, San Fernando at that time.
The last ten (10) years in the Energy Sector have been defined by volatility, transience, uncertainty and structural change. I started my career in 1994 as a Process Engineer at Process Plant Services Ltd, Point Lisas. During my twenty-five (25) year journey, I was involved in start-up and commissioning of Methanol and Ammonia plants at PPSL and IPSL, and offshore platforms, pipelines and new onshore oil processing facilities at bpTT.
Born and Raised in T&T, my family & I migrated to Australia in 1989 and I returned to T&T looking to start my own business in the energy sector but needed to find the right opportunity. My career in the Energy sector began at Trinpet at the age of 17 working on liner hangers, fishing tools and the like.
Dumore Enterprises was incorporated in 1981. It was initially formed by the Jodhan brothers, Dan, Roddy, Joey and Jaisree who are the first generation. I am part of the second generation in the family business.
I started my flying career with Bristow Caribbean Limited (BCL) who had a contract to support Amoco Trinidad Oil Company(ATOC) in Galeota Point. During my tenure with BCL , I was sent to the UK to undertake several programs including Sea Survival Training and was responsible for training all BCL Crewmembers in case the Helicopter ever had to ditch at sea.
