The Energy Chamber of T&T hosted its annual Downstream Forum earlier today.  This important annual forum provided close to 150 of our energy service and contractor members with details of on-going and planned maintenance projects, upgrades and turn-around activities within the downstream sector.   This is vital business intelligence information that allows our service company and contractor members to plan their activities and ensure that they maximise the value of business within the local economy.  The attendees were provided with detailed information on the planned activities of eight of the major downstream companies over the short – medium term.

The meeting also allowed members to engage directly with the supply chain teams from each of the presenting companies and to have their questions about procurement processes addressed.

We thank the following member-companies for their detailed and useful updates:

  • Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited

  • Proman

  • Trinidad Generation Unlimited

  • Methanex

  • Paria Fuel Trading Company Ltd.

  • National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited

  • Atlantic

  • Point Lisas Nitrogen Limited

The Downstream Forum is one of three member-only Forums hosted by the Energy Chamber annually, along with the Upstream Forum and the Local Content Forum, in which we ensure dialogue and exchange across the energy sector supply chain.  These Forums highlight the strength of a trade association including all of the major operators, contractors and service companies.
