Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Dr. The Honourable Roodal Moonilal, and Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, The Honourable Ernesto Kesar, along senior members of the Ministry, met with representatives from EOG Resources.
The executive team from EOG Resources included George Vieira, Vice President and General Manager, Lisa Gosine-Alleyne, Managing Counsel and Denesh Ramnarace, External Affairs Manager.
Minister Moonilal was given updates on the company’s operations, including the Mento Gas Development, operated by EOG Resources in partnership with bp Trinidad and Tobago, which achieved first gas in May 2025. Discussions also included the planned Coconut Gas Project, a joint development between the companies that is expected to come onstream in 2027. The company also provided updates on ongoing exploration work and re-emphasized it commitment to continued investment in Trinidad and Tobago.
According to the Ministry, the Ministers reaffirmed the Government’s intention to maintain a strong and productive partnership with key industry stakeholders and underscored the importance of continued collaboration with EOG Resources to support the sustainable development of Trinidad and Tobago’s energy sector for the mutual benefit of all parties.
