Exxon last week confirmed their 14th discovery (Tripletail-1) in the Starbroek block offshore Guyana.

The US oil major is now lining up exploration activity in the neighboring Canje block for 2020.

The Canje block is located roughly 300 km offshore Guyana. Canje is entirely located in Guyanese territorial waters with its eastern boundary tracking the border between Guyana and Suriname.

In this block the ownership structure is as follows: 35% ExxonMobil, Operator, 35% Total, 17.5% JHI, 12.5% Mid-Atlantic Oil & Gas.

The two wildcats have been identified as the Bulletwood and Jabillo wells, located in the north-west portion of the block.
