Halliburton has signed memorandums of understanding with Eneva and WESCA to support oil and gas development opportunities in Venezuela, the company announced on September 21.
Under its agreement with Eneva, a Brazilian integrated energy company, Halliburton will work to identify and pursue development opportunities in Venezuela. The arrangement builds on the companies’ existing relationship in Brazil.
The WESCA agreement covers field evaluation and development planning. Halliburton said the two companies already use digital technologies and subsurface interpretation to improve their understanding of reservoirs and inform development decisions.
Halliburton has worked in Venezuela for nearly nine decades. It said its bases, operational capabilities and local expertise support customers’ projects in the country.
“Halliburton has a long history in Venezuela and supports customers as they pursue growth opportunities,” said Francisco Tarazona, Halliburton’s Senior Vice President for Latin America.
