PBS Group has completed its acquisition of Trinidad Systems Limited (TSL), purchasing the remaining 55% interest in the company.

The transaction was announced on September 8 and follows PBS Group’s initial investment in TSL in 2024. TSL has operated in Trinidad and Tobago for 47 years.

TSL will continue to operate under its existing brand. PBS Group said there will be no changes to current customer contracts, services or support arrangements, and the existing management team will remain in place.

TSL Chief Executive Officer Stuart Franco has also been appointed Chief Operating Officer for PBS Group’s Eastern Caribbean Cluster. The cluster includes Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and other OECS member countries.

Franco will oversee TSL and PBS operations across the cluster and report directly to PBS Group Chief Executive Officer Pedro Paris.

Franco said the acquisition would give TSL access to wider markets in Central and South America. Paris said TSL’s longstanding relationship with Xerox in Trinidad and Tobago and its enterprise payment solutions would complement PBS Group’s existing portfolio.

The deal follows the appointments of Eduardo Rodriguez as PBS Group Chief Financial Officer and Ezequiel Bardas as Chief Operating Officer for Latin America.
