The Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar S.C., M.P., Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago along with Dr. The Honourable Roodal Moonilal, Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, and the Honourable Ernesto Kesar, Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, met with senior representatives from Proman.

The Proman Executive Team was led by David Cassidy, Chief Executive Officer, Proman AG and included Mr. Anand Ragbir, Managing Director, Proman Trinidad and Ms. Giselle Thompson, Deputy Managing Director, Proman Trinidad.

Cassidy welcomed the opportunity to meet with the Honourable Prime Minister and Honourable Ministers Moonilal and Kesar. He offered congratulations to the Prime Minister on her return to office and shared Proman's long history in Trinidad and Tobago and the company's commitment to continued investment in its operations and its people.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, the meeting was very fruitful with discussions focused on Proman’s commitment to pursuing further investment in both the upstream sector and the downstream sector as it leverages “its entrepreneurial spirit,” to advance opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago notwithstanding challenges of gas curtailments, geopolitical risks and volatile global markets. The company highlighted its aim of partnering with the Government to advance opportunities that will support its vision of Trinidad and Tobago's re-emergence as the energy hub of the region.

The Proman Executive Team also committed to discussing in detail with the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries specific initiatives to advance new, near-term projects and enhancing current output of petrochemical products.

The Honourable Prime Minister and Energy Ministers committed to working with Proman and other industry partners to ensure that Trinidad and Tobago continues to attract and accelerate investment in support of national energy goals and economic growth and as the Government forges ahead with implementing strategies to revitalize the local energy sector.
