Subsea 7 announced the award of a sizeable contract for work offshore Trinidad and Tobago. According to the company, the size of the contract is between US$50 million and US$150 million.
The contract scope covers the project management, engineering, procurement, installation and pull-in of one subsea rigid flowline and flexible riser together with flexible flowlines and associated subsea infrastructure and umbilical system. Offshore installation activities are scheduled for 2021.

In 2019, the company presented during a workshop at the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Conference titled Developing a Deepwater Sector in Trinidad and Tobago.
Presently, Shell’s Barracuda field scheme in the East Coast Marine Area is ongoing. It involves a two-well subsea tieback to existing infrastructure with first gas expected in 2021. Shell has also sanctioned development of the Colibri offshore field where first gas is expected in 2022.
