French clean-energy company focused on hydrogen development, HDF Energy, launched their T&T subsidiary, HDF Energy Trinidad, at Cara Suites Hotel and Conference Centre on November 3, 2022. Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited (PPGPL) through its wholly owned subsidiary Phoenix Park Energy Marketing LLC (PPEM), completed the acquisition of a propane terminal located in Rush City Minnesota.
The Board of Directors of the Energy Chamber is saddened by the passing of Mr. Wayne Bertrand.
Mr. Bertrand worked closely with the Energy Chamber over many decades, in different capacities. During his time as an executive at Petrotrin, he worked closely with the Energy Chamber on the lease-out/farm-out programme and creating the right environment for small onshore producers to increase their production. He also collaborated with the Energy Chamber on trying to find a solution to the issue of the environmental impact of leaks from the aging infrastructure and wells that Petrotrin had inherited from predecessor companies.
After leaving Petrotrin, the Energy Chamber worked closely with Wayne while he was at UWI on issues around workforce development and the export of training services, including service exports to Africa. In more recent years, the Energy Chamber worked closely with Wayne in his role as Chairman of the Board of NESC.

The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries (MEEI) has launched “The Roadmap for a Green Hydrogen Economy in Trinidad and Tobago” which is the summary findings of the Study to “Establish a Green Hydrogen Market in Trinidad and Tobago”. The Launch was held at Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre.
