The Energy Chamber will be hosting the 2nd Guyana Safety Forum on October 16th, 2019.

A safety culture is crucial for the development the energy sector in any nation. There are many inherent risks in the energy sector but, through a deep understanding of the risks there are pathways to safe and efficient operations. At the forum, industry leaders will share perspectives on developing a safety culture, addressing risk, safety and operational excellence and contractor management.

Objectives for the forum:

• Discuss the role and importance of safety culture in achieving the desired HSE performance in the hydrocarbon industry

• Evaluate current approaches to safety culture and explore strategies to improve safety culture in the industry

• Discuss the importance of engagement of employees to achieve the desired safety culture
