The Energy Chamber in collaboration with Gas Energy Latin America will be hosting a webinar aimed at understanding the energy sector in South America.

The webinar will feature Mr Alvaro Rios, Managing Partner of Gas Energy Latin America. He will discuss natural gas dynamics in the southern cone including Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.

Speaker BIO:

ALVARO RIOS ROCA, Managing Partner, Gas Energy Latin America

Alvaro Rios Roca is currently the managing partner at Gas Energy Latin America. He leads studies and carries out energy consulting services throughout Latin America with focus in the natural gas chain, power and petrochemical sectors. He was the executive secretary of (Organización Latinoaméricana de Energia) OLADE between 2006 and 2007 and Ministry of Hydrocarbons of Bolivia between 2003 and 2004.

He graduated as a Chemical Engineer from Texas A&M University and later accomplished postgraduate studies in Chemical Engineer at University of Houston in Chemical Engineering. As an academic, he has supported and designed undergraduate and graduate programs for Petroleum Engineering degrees at Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB) and has given several energy courses at graduate level in masters programs in a few Latin American universities. He is frequently invited to deliver energy conferences and moderate panels in Latin America, North America and Europe. He has publications, articles and interviews concerning the energy sector with focus in Latin America.
