Course Overview:

This course is designed for persons with leadership and management responsibilities for implementing Process Safety Management Systems (PSM) within their organizations. This course covers the management of process hazards to ensure facilities are designed, constructed, maintained & operated according to codes & standards.

The purpose of this course is to give participants an understanding and a working application of PSM. People are exposed to all types of risks and hazards in the work place, so this course will help you to understand, identify and control process hazards thereby preventing process related incidents and injuries.

Learning Objectives:

On successful completion of this two (2) day workshop, participants would cover the following areas:

  • PSM standards, history and concepts

  • Specific requirements of each of the 14 elements of PSM

  • Cost-effective compliance implementation and improvement strategies

  • How to conduct a Hazard Assessment
