The Energy Chamber is pleased to host the Webinar: Developing Wind Projects.

The webinar is intended to highlight issues around developing wind resources. Feature speakers include Nicholas Jackman, CFO Ansa McAl, Martin Vogt, Managing Director Renewable Energies, MPC Capital and Roderick Chavarria, Siemens Energy. The panelists will discuss developing wind projects in different parts of the world, financing and available technologies.

Speaker Bios:

Nicholas Jackman, CFO, Ansa McAL

Nicholas Jackman is the Chief Financial Officer at ANSA McAL Limited, the largest conglomerate in the Caribbean with a market capitalization of approx. US$1.9 billion.  Prior to that he held the role of Head of Business Development where he was responsible for all M&A, JV and minority stake investments of the group; and is its primary relationship manager with external advisory firms since joining in 2012.  He also holds a number of subsidiary board director positions within the Group.

Prior to ANSA McAL, Mr. Jackman held the role of Senior Associate – Mergers & Acquisitions at Credit Suisse New York where he covered financial sponsors (private equity clients), midstream and upstream master limited partnerships (MLPs) and renewable energy sectors for four (4) years.  He was also Business Development Manager – Latin America at Baker Hughes Inc. during his eight (8) year career there.

Mr. Jackman received a BSc. (Hons) in Chemical & Process Engineering from The University of the West Indies and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management.

Martin Vogt, Managing Director, Renewable Energies, MPC Capital

Martin Vogt is responsible for originating, structuring and executing of cross-border renewable energy transactions. He has performed M&A transactions for over 2 GW and successfully completed project financing for over 500 MW. He serves as non-executive Director of the Caribbean Alternative Investment Association (CARAIA). Martin holds a Master of Technical and Commercial Management with focus on Energy & Resources.

Martin joined MPC Renewable Energies GmbH in 2014. Previously, he was Vice President at Global Capital Finance.

Roderick Chavarria, Onshore Sales Area Manager for Central America and the Caribbean at Siemens

Roderick Chavarria has been Onshore Sales Area Manager for Central America and the Caribbean at Siemens Gamesa since 2016. Before working in the region, he served as sales manager in Mexico, Peru and the Southern Cone for former Gamesa since 2014, contributing to the positioning of the company sales and participating in different renewable energy auctions in Latin America. Prior to Siemens Gamesa, he worked at Garrad Hassan (now DNV-GL) as head of Business Development for Mexico and Latin America. He studied Electromechanical Engineering at the Technological University of Panama, and has a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Specialization in Sustainable Energy Policies.
