This workshop builds on the foundation of the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) symposium held on 13th April, 2017, at the Point Lisas Campus of the University of Trinidad and Tobago.
That symposium highlighted the large deposits of Heavy Oil located in onshore and offshore reservoirs in Trinidad and Tobago and the urgency to increase domestic oil production. The workshop would explore advances in methods and technology in improving oil recovery. The workshop would draw on the considerable expertise and experience of the presenters and will examine in detail the major Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) techniques including chemical injection, gas injection and thermal injection approaches.
IOR techniques represent the most promising approaches to increase oil production in Trinidad and Tobago at this time.
