Richard De La Bastide, President, Yara Trinidad

Richard de La Bastide is the President of Yara Trinidad Ltd.

Richard possesses over thirty years of engineering and project management experience including several senior positions in Plant Management, Production Management, Operations Management, Project Management and Business Development in Chemical Plants in Qatar and Trinidad.

Mr. de La Bastide holds an Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of  The West Indies and a Bachelors Degree (Honours) in Chemical Engineering from Queen´s University, Kingston, Ont, Canada

He is also a member of the Board of The Energy Chamber of Trinidad & Tobago as well as the Project Management Institute (PMI) and has presented papers on Safety in Ammonia Terminals and DeNox Systems in Reformers at AIChE Ammonia Safety Symposiums.

Away from his business portfolio, Richard is a dedicated family man and a true fan of many sports, including tennis, golf and cricket.
