bp’s Cassia C platform has sailed away from the Altamira fabrication yard, Mexico and is now on its way to T&T.
The Cassia C topsides were fabricated at the Altamira fabrication yard, Mexico. They are expected to arrive in T&T in about two weeks. The next steps will be installation, followed by hook up and commissioning.
The jacket and bridge landing frame were built at TOFCO and were installed in February 2020.
Cassia Compression project will enable bpTT to access and produce low pressure gas reserves from currently-producing fields in the Greater Cassia area, maximizing recovery from these existing resources.
Gas production from the Greater Cassia Area will be routed to Cassia C for compression before being exported via the adjacent existing Cassia B platform. Cassia C will be located 57 kilometres off the south-east coast of Trinidad.
First gas is expected in 2022.
