IRP Fire and Safety Ltd. (IRP) has announced its merger with ROSE Environmental Ltd., adding to several other consolidations in the industry this year.
Recently, Saipem and Subsea7 merged, SLB acquired ChampionX, Chevron acquired Hess Corporation and here in Trinidad, Perenco acquired the assets of Woodside Energy. In the local energy services sector, we also saw TOSL Engineering purchasing Ansa Technologies.
According to IRP, the merger with ROSE Environmental marks a significant milestone in the Caribbean’s industrial services landscape. The merger brings together over 80 years of combined expertise, creating an entity which will now provide fire, safety, environmental, and marine services across Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, and the wider region.
The merger expands IRP’s capacity to deliver critical support for industrial operations in several key areas including expanded turnaround & shutdown capacity, comprehensive emergency response solutions, and integrated environmental services.
Like many mergers and acquisitions in the industry, this alignment allows IRP to streamline execution. IRP also said that the merger will help reduce operational handoffs, and strengthen field support helping clients safeguard people, property, and the environment with greater efficiency, reliability, and reach.
Davd Thompson, CEO at IRP Fire & Safety Ltd. said “This merger is a natural evolution of our shared commitment to safety, innovation, and service excellence.” “Together, we are better positioned to meet the growing demands of our clients and the region," he added.
