Yesterday evening the Joint Chambers donated TT$ 50,000 to SEWA-TT to assist them in their ongoing efforts to bring relief to people impacted by flooding across Trinidad & Tobago. The Joint Chambers Relief Fund is a fund managed by the country’s four major business associations, from which monetary donations can be quickly disbursed to approved NGOs in post-disaster situations in Trinidad & Tobago and elsewhere in the Caribbean.

SEWA-TT will use the funds to assist households in communities impacted by flooding through the provision of relief items and to support evacuation efforts when needed.

The Joint Chambers is comprised of:

  • AMCHAM Trinidad and Tobago

  • Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago

  • Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce

  • Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association
