Trinidad and Tobago-based L&S Surveying Services Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kepler Geo-Informatics N.V. to expand surveying, geospatial and subsurface mapping services in Suriname.
The agreement pairs L&S's technical and specialist surveying capabilities with Kepler's local knowledge and presence in the Surinamese market. The two companies have already worked together once, carrying out Ground Penetrating Radar work in the country, a project L&S said showed it could mobilise resources and deliver jointly with a local partner.
Going forward, L&S and Kepler plan to pursue opportunities across Suriname's energy, infrastructure, construction and industrial sectors.
L&S Managing Director Sasha Addo said the partnership lets the two firms combine their strengths while supporting L&S's push into the region. "Our partnership with Kepler gives us local knowledge and relationships in Suriname while allowing us to contribute the experience, technology and specialist capabilities that L&S has developed over many years," Addo said. "We have completed our first project together in Suriname, and we see this as the beginning of a much longer relationship."
Founded more than 25 years ago, L&S Surveying Services Ltd. offers Dimension Control Surveys, 3D laser scanning, UAV and LiDAR mapping and Ground Penetrating Radar, and has worked on energy, infrastructure, construction and development projects across Trinidad and Tobago and other regional markets.
