Trinidad Offshore Fabricators Unlimited (TOFCO) has announced that it has successfully completed over 1 million inches of structural welding in one year, with a structural weld repair rate of just 0.138%.
According to the company, this milestone reflects the skill, discipline, and dedication of the welding teams, whose craftsmanship continues to uphold TOFCO’s commitment to quality and excellence.

TOFCO, based in La Brea, recently completed the fabrication of jackets and piles for the Shell Manatee project. The Manatee Jacket is the largest jacket ever fabricated at TOFCO, making this achievement particularly significant for the company, its people, and Trinidad & Tobago’s energy services sector.
Mohammed said, “Throughout fabrication, we challenged traditional construction methods and carefully managed risk, including minimizing welding at height during nighttime operations, a first for TOFCO on a project of this scale. Safety was never treated as something separate from execution; it was embedded in how we planned and performed the work.”
“The successful loadout is the result of tremendous commitment from the men and women who engineered, planned, fabricated, lifted, inspected, coordinated, and supported this project every day,” Mohammed added.
