The Junior Repair Technician will shadow an experience technician during disassembly, inspection and repairs of Siemens Energy highspeed rotating equipment. Repairs are conducted at OEM facility and travel offshore and to customer location, as necessary.

Education requirements

  • Recent graduate of a mechanical engineering technician program from an accredited institution

  • Must adapt to fast-paced environment

  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook.

  • Committed to working in an organization with a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environment.

  • Flexible to work extended hours during shutdown time frames which can include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

  • Applicant must pass the PLEA certification within 30 days of employment.

  • This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious accommodation.

Your responsibilities

  • Bead blasting of mechanical components (cabinet blasting)

  • Honing of diaphragms joints

  • Preparation of parts for assembly.

  • Machinery services such as tapping of bolt holes

  • Support Field Service technician at customer site

  • Daily report writing

  • Supports maintenance of shop.

  • Support the various safety projects and initiatives within the Service Center.

  • Support the logistic team inventorying and delivering customer equipment.
