Mode of Employment: Permanent / Full-time

The Repair Technician disassembles, inspects and repairs Siemens Energy highspeed rotating equipment. Repairs are conducted at OEM facility and travel offshore and to customer sites as necessary.

Education requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience with rotating and/or reciprocating equipment repairs (steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, reciprocating compressors, turbochargers, valves, dry gas seals).

  • Must adapt to fast-paced environment

  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Outlook.

  • Experience working in an organization with a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environment.

  • Flexible to work extended hours during shutdown time frames which can include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Your responsibilities

  • Plans and executes assigned repair projects.

  • Communicates and cooperates with customer service or customer directly to identify malfunction

  • Analyzes technical problems with the product and completes mechanical and/or electrical repairs and work orders.

  • Executes ramp up, set up and start procedures in order to test products, machines and equipment to ensure appropriate functionality.

  • Contributes to installation projects on site, and support accountable Industrial Engineers.

  • Supports maintenance of technical documentations of processes and equipment.

  • May cope with different technologies to repair products.

  • Interpret customer maintenance and/or repair specifications to junior technical personnel for repair and maintenance of equipment.

  • Support the quotation process for repair work scopes with associated detailed costs.

  • Prepare and deliver project documentation and progress reports for internal and external customers.

  • Assist with and support the various safety projects and initiatives within the Service Center.

  • Collaborate with technical specialists and QA manager to ensure that all jobs are completed within job specific or general quality guidelines and assurances
