Commercial Project Manager (Financial Accountant)
Responsible for the preparation and analysis of economic and financial information, for the integrity of closures and reports, for economic planning activities, ensuring compliance with accounting and financial guidelines and standards. Will be focal point for Trinidad and Tobago.
Education requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5-8 years of experience in related field
Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial analysis and financial reporting skills with a desire to understand the reality behind the numbers especially for manufacturing concern.
Familiar with a variety of financial concepts, practices, and procedures especially manufacturing costing.
Knowledgeable with Trinidad and Tobago Corporate tax filings; CIT, ITX, Withholdings, PAYE, BIR, NIB
Organized: transparency in reporting with high level of data accuracy
Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ability to identify issues and resolve them independently.
Demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills.
Must adapt to fast-paced environment.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and QuickBooks.
Experience working in an organization with a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environment.
Flexible to work extended hours during shutdown time frames which can include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Your responsibilities
Review financial statements for accuracy and identify key drivers.
Prepare monthly financial forecast for income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
Work closely with the factory controlling and commercial project team to understand forecasted factory and project costs.
Analyze actual financial results in comparison to forecast results and provide variance explanations.
Develop annual budget, prepare budget presentations, and provide budget variance analysis.
Submit monthly reporting requirements to the global business unit and the regional headquarters.
Prepare and file Trinidad and Tobago Corporate tax filings; CIT, ITX, Withholdings, PAYE, BIR, NIB
Analyze cost center spending, absorption, productivity, and utilization.
Partner with accounting and finance teams to improve reporting and forecasting processes.
Special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
