The global oil and gas industry is watching events in Guyana very closely. The Energy Chamber took a very successful trade mission to Guyana in September 2015 and another successful mission in August 2016. The last mission was our largest with 58 participants. From our insights gathered while on our trade mission we can confidently expect oilfield activity to accelerate very rapidly in Guyana. This clearly represents a very significant business opportunity for members of the Energy Chamber in Trinidad, and indeed for the entire Trinidad & Tobago private-sector.
In this regard, the Energy Chamber is eager to continue work in developing local energy services companies to export their services and create a long term presence in Guyana.
This breakfast meeting is intended to highlight issues around doing business with Guyana. The breakfast meeting is part sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and will feature presentations by them and the Energy Chamber.
The Energy Chamber will present findings from the latest trade mission to Guyana, and PwC will present their experience of navigating through the peculiarities of doing business in Guyana.
