Safety Starts With You: An Interactive Introductory Webinar to IOSH Managing Safely

Join the Energy Chamber Learning Centre for a free, interactive one-hour webinar designed to introduce managers and supervisors to the practical principles behind IOSH Managing Safely.

Drawing on experience from high-risk operational environments in Trinidad’s energy sector and internationally, the session will use live polling and practical scenarios to test participants’ existing knowledge, challenge assumptions and highlight the personal responsibilities that come with managing workplace safety.

Participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Test their understanding of key workplace safety concepts

  • Identify common gaps in manager and supervisor responsibilities

  • Explore what effective risk assessment looks like in practice

  • Consider how incident investigations can identify root causes

  • Get a preview of the full IOSH Managing Safely course

The webinar is aimed at managers, supervisors and team leaders responsible for people and workplace activities, particularly those without formal health and safety training. It is also relevant to business owners, department heads and operational leaders who want to assess and strengthen their current safety awareness.

A key message of the session is simple: you do not have to be a health and safety professional to manage safely, but every manager needs to understand their responsibilities and have the confidence to act.
