The Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Dr. the Honourable Roodal Moonilal, alongside Minister in the Ministry, the Honourable Ernesto Kesar, and other senior Ministry officials, recently met with representatives from Chevron Corporation. Executives from Heritage Petroleum Company Limited, Paria Fuel Trading Limited, and Guaracara Refining Company Limited were also in attendance.
Joining the meeting virtually were Chevron executives Andrew Stead, Director of Downstream, Midstream & Chemicals Business Development, and Nicole Oakes, Lead of the Supply & Trading Origination & Commercial team.
According to a statement from the Ministry, the discussions sought to advance prior conversations regarding investment opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago, with a specific focus on infrastructure rehabilitation, supply, and trading. Chevron highlighted its successful, ongoing commercial partnerships with Heritage Petroleum and Paria Fuel Trading, expressing an openness to exploring further avenues for strategic collaboration with the country.
Minister Moonilal welcomed the continued engagement between state energy leaders and the global energy giant. He also reiterated the Government’s commitment to supporting the sustainable development of the energy sector and fostering alignment between state enterprises and the private sector to achieve national economic objectives.
