Heritage Petroleum is seeking local and international companies to support the exploration and potential development of deeper targets within its core onshore acreage in Trinidad and Tobago.
The state-owned company opened a prequalification process on October 12 for what it describes as under-explored deeper stratigraphic intervals within its existing onshore licences.
The potential work could cover exploration and development drilling, improved oil recovery, production operations and other activities needed to develop the acreage. Heritage is looking for companies able to provide an integrated service from early subsurface work through first oil and subsequent operations.
A typical project could include building a reservoir model, preparing a field development plan, selecting technology and identifying well locations and designs. Heritage said applicants will need to demonstrate the technical experience, financial capacity and operational capability required for the work.
The exercise fits within Heritage’s wider work to develop field plans across its major oil-producing acreage. The company says those plans are intended to guide infill drilling, improve recovery and assess extensions to existing fields.
Companies interested in the field-development category have until November 10, 2026 to apply for prequalification. Questions on the process are due by October 27.
