Job Title (Vacancy): Junior Petroleum/ Reservoir Engineer
Duties and responsibilities: General Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer encompass the following main areas:
- Well Monitoring & Field Performance Analysis to ensure:
- Optimized production and recovery,
- Identification of well performance issues,
- Ascertainment of reservoirs’ characterization.
- Permanent Reservoir Monitoring and Performance Analysis to ensure:
- Reservoir understanding ascertainment,
- Accurate forecasting of the production and reserves (+EURF),
- Identification of recovery issues & future development challenges,
- Proposal and implementation of recovery enhancement projects.

She/He can be sent as field QC on operation attached to the project she/he is assigned to. She/He would then be responsible for:
- Onsite Geosciences expertise, liaison with more senior staff at the base,
- Witnessing, recording, and reporting all events and measurements

She/He is also responsible for:
- Fulfilling agreed tasks within agreed timing (meeting deadlines),
- Delivering documents up to required standards,
- Maintaining the “SSF-Dept” Directory

Specific Tasks
Wells & Production Optimization
- Perform wells and field production reviews
- Implement well surveillance KPIs
- Propose corrective actions for wells with performance problems

Reservoir Management
- Perform permanent reservoir monitoring
- Implement reservoir surveillance KPIs
- Maintain and update reservoir characterization
- Keep track of reservoir management KPIs (PDP EURF vs. Expectations)
- Identify recovery issues and quantify un-accessed reserves (1P, 2P, 3P, UD)
- Ascertain technically and economically optimized further development plan
- Assist in managing Reservoir Databook updates

Integrated Studies
- Liaise with Geoscientists for relevant and accurate field Geological review
- Perform dynamic reviews
- Capturing field development and production history
- Listing knowledge and hard evidences
- Describing work and analysis method/process
- Delivering robust and comprehensive analysis

Business Process
Assist with all the internal and external business processes preparation works: TCM, MTO, Budget.

Desired qualifications: Required Profile
- M. Sc. in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering (or equivalent)
- 2 – 5 year’s relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Fluent in English
- Computer literate (advanced level in Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic Programming (VBA) and Database Skills (Access, MSQL)

Required Technical Skills
- Good Understanding of E&P processes
- Good understanding of multi-phase fluid behaviour in pipes
- Good understanding of fluid PVT
- Good understanding of well activation and stimulation
- Basic knowledge of Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering
- Basic knowledge of Material Balance approach
- Basic knowledge of Decline Curve Analysis
- Basic knowledge of well modelling
- Basic knowledge of well-test design and interpretation
- Familiar with well interventions and drilling operations
- Familiar with Project Management
- Familiar with Synthetic Presentations
- Familiar with Technical Reports
