Job Title (Vacancy): Electrical and Instrumentation Lead Technician (CAFI)
Duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to facilitate the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of offshore electrical and instrumentation systems, and execution of planned and corrective maintenance tasks by:
Performing routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation, including motors, generators, VFDs, transmitters and control valves.
Reviewing maintenance strategies, proposing optimized preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Conducting testing and calibration of critical safety and control systems, ensuring compliance with offshore standards.
Utilizing diagnostic tools like multi-meters, megohmmeter and HART communicators to identify and address issues.
Developing and executing reliability improvement initiatives for electrical and instrumentation systems.
Analyzing recurring equipment failures and implementing permanent corrective actions.
Collaborating with other disciplines to effectively coordinate cross-functional maintenance activities.
Desired qualifications:
B.Sc. degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years in electrical/instrumentation maintenance; supervisory experience would be an asset.
Certifications: BOSIET | Hazardous Area | Instrumentation and Electrical.
Strong expertise in electrical distribution, VFDs and process instrumentation.
This Job is: Offshore-based with a 28-day on / 28-day off rotation
